As if Covid-19 wasn’t enough to worry about, 2020 has also brought dengue cases in Singapore to an all-time high. As of 8 Aug 2020, NEA reported a troubling total of 23,000+ dengue cases, more than the 15,998 dengue cases recorded for the whole of 2019!
It seems that the pandemic may have overshadowed the countless reminders of and precautionary efforts by NEA officers. There are still many cases of breeding sources in homes. One particularly terrifying find during an NEA inspection was a flower pot filled with hundred of wriggling larvae!
